Habib Jalib, Faiz, Meena Kandasamy, Rahman Baba, and many others have used poetry as a medium of dissent against state brutality and unjust systems. Let's come together and revisit their sentiments. **What to expect** * Please bring your favorite poem of resistance (either one you've written or one by someone else). * We'll read English translations of these poems, followed by a brief discussion of their relevance to struggles against authoritarian regimes and unjust systems, particularly in South Asia today. * Snacks will be provided.
