Kresse 3 play their debut album "Die Welt ist Gestreckt" live at Schokoladen. Release show with an aftershow party. Kresse 3 is the weed peeking out from the cracks between the cobblestones. Call it post-punk, recognize the euphoric energy of krautrock in it, or hear the old melancholy of German language indie pop. There are echoes of Element of Crime, CAN, Wanda, Tocotronic and International Music, and in the harmonized vocals, if you have a big heart, even the Beatles. Support comes from Efka Mott & Franna, a Berlin Liedermacher duo somewhere between Lou Reed and Jessica Pratt, with traces of German post-punk and krautrock: snippets of conversations between friends and strangers, fragments of memories, and the struggle to become what you already are, sung to guitar, harmonica and cello.
