# Guided Walking Tour around Rummelsburger See **Meet Time:** 18:20 **Meet Place:** Rummelsburg S-Bahn Station Join me on a historical walk around Berlin's fascinating Rummelsburger See. The plan: We'll grab a *Wegbier* and make our way around the waterfront, exploring one of Berlin's most overlooked neighbourhoods. Along the way we'll discover how this quiet corner of the city reflects Berlin's transformation from a small riverside town into an industrial metropolis. We'll finish with a beer by the water (sunshine not guaranteed!). The Spree is only around 400 km long, yet its waterways were essential to Berlin's rise. Around Rummelsburger See you'll find traces of industry, transport, power generation, housing, leisure and imprisonment—all within a short walk. Once home to boatyards, factories and one of Berlin's most notorious prisons, the area has been completely reinvented over the last few decades into one of the city's most attractive waterfront districts. If you like history, want to know more about the city than just nazi’s and the cold war, and want to take part in a sociable evening of exploration and discussion, come along.
