Their music exists at the brink of collapse, combining overwhelming sonic power with striking emotional depth. Known for his thunderous saxophone and collaborations with Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, TV on the Radio, Tom Waits, BADBADNOTGOOD, and many others, Colin Stetson brings seismic intensity alongside Stian Westerhus’ boundary-pushing guitar and haunting vocals, and Erland Dahlen’s atmospheric, highly distinctive percussion. On August 19, 10¹⁷ will perform in the intimate setting of Berlin’s finest underground venue, Neue Zukunft. Opening the night are Berlin-based Actual Figures, blending psychedelic rock, country, and electronica in a guitar-heavy full-band line-up.
