There's so much joy and warmth and playfulness in house music and the sounds of the African diaspora, and we think that's been undersold in favour of serious, dark, heads-down raving. We want to bring the bubbly side of the dancefloor back. We want the party to be the connection, not the backdrop to everyone's private experience. The 5€ door comes from the same thinking. We are in a recession. People are stretched. And we know from history that joy, collective dancing, and being in a room full of your people are not luxuries — they are part of how movements sustain themselves.
